Nickname(s): Quite a few in Steve’s blog!! Was Mr. Average but I taught Sam Parker all I know and he has stolen the nickname!!

Cricket History: I represented my school Highbury Avenue and my teacher Tony Murley asked me to play for top Salisbury side St. Edmunds. Unfortunately the captain at the time gave no chance to youngsters and I gave up cricket for a time. I was then persuaded to play for Woodgreen and have been at the club since - some 40 years ago! Signing on fees were low in those days - 2 pickled onions.

Who do you look like: Stuart Broad (when I was 24)

Favourite colour: This may surprise you........blue.

Favourite band: Crowded House, although I like Paul Weller, Paloma Faith, Adele, David Gray and many more.

Your sporting hero: .....difficult one. Definitely not a modern prima donna footballer so I’ll go for a cricketer and be patriotic - Ian Botham.
