On Friday 8th Jan a surprise night was arranged for Ian and Steve as a token of thanks for their efforts for the club. The Horse and Groom was the venue and nearly 30 waited for Ian/ Sue and Steve/ Sarah's arrival.
The eveninh went well and thanks to the H&G for good food and service.
As you all know Ian has handed over the league captaincy to Richard and Karen has become treasurer for Steve.

Hi all

Thanks very much for last evening it was a complete surprise to me,for those that organised the evening thank you and well done to Susie Sue for keeping me in the dark It was so nice of you all to turn up for Steve and myself, for me I've had a great time being your skipper over the last ten years, I've been lucky to have seen a lot of really good lads come along over the years and quite a few older lads as well which has made my job really quite easy, I still hope to play as when required skipper ! or it's the sulking bench for me
I hope now that we have a new regime that the club really gets behind the new skipper and vice plus also our new treasurer (Karen) who I'm sure will take the club forward .
Woodgreen cc is a great family club and I believe we can keep going as we have in the time that I've been involved with the club.
Let's hope that we have a really good season this year, as always on and off the field I know we're really good at off the field mainly in the many Public Houses we visit, I'm still looking forward to that
